Michigan Marching – Great Lakes, Great Bands
Marching Band Photos!
Photos from MCBA State Finals 2024 are available for viewing and download. They’re free (“right click -> save”) with watermark. Parents – watermark-less photo downloads are $1 each. We are not seeking to make a profit off these, but would like to attempt to recover the hosting costs. Payments are currently only available through PayPal (it was the only system they partner with that we have set up). If there is enough interest, we may look to offering physical prints – fulfilled and shipped by an online photo lab; costs would be set according to the lab’s fees.
The photos are unedited and quality is not guaranteed — we’ll go through and try to delete the obvious “bad photos” at some point, but for now – blurry and ‘what was that supposed to be of?‘ are all uploaded.
Directors and School Officials can contact [email protected] if there is interest in copies of the unedited photo.
Anyone on a school’s yearbook committee – please have your teacher or advisor contact us if you’d like to use photos.
Since 2010, Michigan Marching has striven to provide accurate, updated information about competitive high school marching bands in Michigan. More than 200 bands compete in two in-state circuits, with a few competing out-of-state at Bands of America events. Each fall offers new sights and sounds, as students take the field every Saturday from September to November, in scorching heat, freezing cold, rain, snow, and wind. Hours of hard work by students are on display for a few short minutes, performing a unique art piece – combining music, dance, theatrics, and athleticism.
Each and every one of those students deserves great praise and support.
The Michigan Marching Website updates are still underway; each year provides new insight and information to improve its usability. The site remains managed by two individuals, each with full-time jobs outside of this hobby. While we continue to work to figure out the entire system, content migration from the previous system is on hold. The old content still exists on the “Marchive” and is available for viewing while we continue to work to migrate.
